Alien Encounter Activity Pack

Alien Encounter leads your elementary and lower middle school students through the exciting adventures of two LEGO astronauts who have crash-landed on an alien planet and must learn to communicate with aliens! Using a colorful story line format, the two astronauts guide your students through activities that help them grasp how computer technology, mathematics, and science are used to help resolve difficult challenges. Students will create and use tools to measure distance and time, collect and interpret data, calculate speed and area, work in groups to solve challenges, and much more. Each of the three themes is introduced in a comic book style with interactions between the astronauts as they discuss the challenge at hand. Students work in pairs of two.
